Diving deep
Beneath the surface
Lie the treasures of the heart.
I had not seen the beauty there
Until this friend who shines the light.
Through his eyes
The future bright I see,
Froth with rich possibility.
All my insecurities he sees,
God’s partner, erasing each lovingly.
What could I be?
What could I do?
With this partner to believe in me?
Clearer, purer, unstoppable we’d be,
Reflecting God’s light for all to see.
Shout all glory to the name
Of Heaven’s mighty King!
Through crooked paths and broken hearts
Inside our crucibles of pain
God forged this loving rain.
