I’ve lived in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area my whole life, but I’ve never seen it quite the way I have with Dave over the last year or so since he moved here. Dave has a way of scoping out events, venues, music, and fun holes-in-the-wall for great food.
While I’d been to the Tennessee Aquarium, Hunter Museum of American Art, the Tennessee River, Lookout Mountain’s Point Park and the Chickamauga Battlefield many times over the years. I had no idea that Chattanooga had a Sculpture Field or that there was a Mainx24 event on Main Street every December — complete with live music and a parade.
If you’ve never been to Chattanooga, Tennessee before, you really do need to come see us. Dubbed “The Scenic City,” Chattanooga has everything from a Riverboat to Cycleboats, from our famous pedestrian bridge to the first (or second) largest fresh-water aquarium in the world (China claims to have one bigger… but who knows).
On a clear day, you can see 5 states from Lookout Mountain’s Point Park. Visit the Chickamauga Battlefield and you’ll see where one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War took place.
The video below is one I made from photos I took around town with Dave. The background music is an extemporaneous piano piece I created. I hope you enjoy it. Come see us sometime!
Photos are ones I took in and outside the Hunter Museum of American Art. There’s a great view of the Tennessee River, Southern Belle Riverboat, and Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. Also photos from the Tennessee Aquarium, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, the Sculpture Fields at Montague Park, Mainx24, and Brent Sanders Art Gallery.
