My latest extemporaneous piano piece is a haunting melody for autumn and Halloween called Autumn Phantom. I’ve been practicing minor chords and getting comfortable enough with them to play them naturally. Most of my meditative melodies are created in major chords. It’s easier not to hit a sour note if you just stay on the ivory keys. 🙂
But, I’ve been expanding my knowledge of chords and wanted to try something in a minor key. I’ve been practicing and tinkering around with these chords for a few weeks now. Yesterday, I sat down to the piano and created this one. I really love the way it turned out.
I decided to find some beautiful autumn photos and put it to video for my Autumn Phantom creativity challenge. I hope you enjoy it. I’d love to hear what you think.
I have an album of meditative melodies available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, GooglePlay and other music outlets. It’s called Confidence Rising and I created it to go along with my book of the same name. For details and to listen to clips go here.
